Register of Lobbyists

Professional lobbyists who wish to lobby State or local government representatives in Queensland (Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Ministerial staff, councillors (including mayors) and senior staff working in State or local government public sector agencies) must be listed on the Register of Lobbyists.

This is a requirement of the Integrity Act 2009.

Registration requirements previously set out in the Queensland Contact with Lobbyist Code were replaced on 1 January 2010 by requirements under the Integrity Act 2009 . Under the Integrity Act 2009, the Register of Lobbyists has become the responsibility of the Integrity Commissioner and will be administrated by his office.
